Welcome to spotlyte’s Terms & Conditions

Applies to people who browse Events, create an account, book or receive Tickets, attend Events, or use attendee features on Spotlyte

These User Terms & Conditions ("Terms") form a binding agreement between Spotlyte, a digital event ticketing and management platform operated as a sole proprietorship from the registered business address stated below ("Spotlyte", "Platform", "we", "us", or "our"), and each person who accesses or uses the Platform as a buyer, attendee, guest, account holder, or Ticket recipient ("User", "you", or "your").

1. Acceptance and scope

1.1.By accessing the Platform, creating an account, purchasing or receiving a Ticket, clicking an acceptance checkbox, checking in, or otherwise using attendee features, you agree to these Terms and the policies incorporated by reference.
1.2.These Terms apply whether you book through an account, guest checkout, a shared booking link, or another checkout method made available by Spotlyte.
1.3.The User Privacy Policy, Refund, Cancellation & Postponement Policy, Ticketing, Entry & Event Conduct Policy, Event listing, checkout disclosures, and any lawful Event-specific rules form part of your agreement.
1.4.Where mandatory consumer law gives you rights that cannot be excluded, these Terms do not limit those rights.

2. Definitions

2.1."Event" means an event, activity, experience, performance, gathering, or admission opportunity listed through the Platform.
2.2."Organiser" means the person or entity that lists, hosts, sells, manages, or delivers an Event.
2.3."Attendee" means a person who registers for, books, receives, or uses a Ticket for an Event.
2.4."Ticket" means a paid or free admission, registration, booking, pass, or right of entry issued through the Platform, including an electronic Ticket or QR code.
2.5."Order" means a completed booking or purchase of one or more Tickets.
2.6."Event Rules" means the age, identification, venue, entry, safety, dress, conduct, prohibited-item, photography, transfer, re-entry, or other Event-specific rules disclosed by the Organiser.

3. Acceptance and scope

3.1.You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to create an account or make a paid booking, unless applicable law permits otherwise.
3.2.A parent or lawful guardian may book for a minor where the Event permits minors. The adult making the booking is responsible for reviewing age restrictions, supervision requirements, identification rules, and Event suitability.
3.3.An Organiser may refuse admission where an Attendee does not satisfy a clearly disclosed age or guardian requirement.

4. Spotlyte's role and the Event contract

4.1.Spotlyte provides technology for Event discovery, listing, Ticket booking, payment collection, attendee communication, and check-in. Unless expressly stated otherwise, Spotlyte does not organise, host, control, supervise, or deliver Events.
4.2.The Organiser is the seller and host of the Event. The contract for attendance and Event delivery is between the Organiser and the Attendee, subject to these Platform Terms and applicable law.
4.3.Event descriptions, schedules, performers, venue details, accessibility information, age limits, entry rules, and other listing content are supplied or approved by the Organiser. Spotlyte may review or format content but does not guarantee that every Event detail is error-free.
4.4.Spotlyte does not guarantee that an Event will occur, that a particular performer or programme will appear, that entry will be granted despite non-compliance with Event Rules, or that an Event will meet personal expectations.

5. Accounts, guest bookings, and security

5.1You must provide accurate and current information, including your name, phone number, email address, and any other details reasonably required for booking, support, fraud prevention, or Event entry
5.2You are responsible for protecting login credentials, one-time passwords, Ticket links, QR codes, and devices used to access your account or Tickets.
5.3You must promptly notify support@spotlyte.app if you suspect unauthorized account access, a compromised Ticket, or an incorrect booking.
5.4Spotlyte may restrict or suspend an account, Order, or Ticket where there is suspected fraud, unauthorized payment activity, abuse, chargeback misuse, automated purchasing, unlawful conduct, or a material breach of these Terms.

6. Event listings and booking decisions

6.1.Before booking, you must review the complete Event listing, including date, time, venue, Ticket category, price, taxes or fees, age limits, identification requirements, refund terms, accessibility information, and Event Rules.
6.2.You are responsible for choosing the correct Event, date, Ticket category, quantity, attendee details, and contact information before payment.
6.3.Images, videos, seating diagrams, artist line-ups, schedules, and descriptions may be illustrative or subject to lawful change. Material details available at checkout form part of your booking.
6.4.A Ticket is not reserved until payment is successfully authorised and Spotlyte issues a booking confirmation. An abandoned cart, failed payment, payment attempt, or pending status does not guarantee availability.

7. Prices, payments, and checkout

7.1.The checkout will show the Ticket price, applicable taxes, and any separately disclosed convenience, platform, payment, delivery, or other mandatory charge before you confirm payment.
7.2.Payments are processed through authorised payment service providers. Their processing terms, security controls, and service availability may also apply
7.3.You authorise Spotlyte and its payment partners to charge the selected payment method for the total amount displayed at checkout.
7.4.Spotlyte may cancel or hold an Order where payment is declined, reversed, disputed, duplicated, unauthorised, incomplete, or flagged for fraud or compliance review.
7.5.A bank or payment app may temporarily show a debit even when an Order fails. Reversal timing is controlled by the bank or payment provider. Contact support with the transaction reference if the amount is not automatically reversed.

8. Ticket issue, delivery, and use

8.1Tickets may be delivered through the account dashboard, email, SMS, WhatsApp, download link, QR code, or another method shown at checkout.
8.2.You must verify the booking confirmation and Ticket details promptly and report errors as soon as reasonably possible.
8.3.Each Ticket is valid only for the Event, date, Ticket category, and Attendee conditions stated on it or in the Event listing.
8.4.A Ticket may be used only once unless the Event expressly permits re-entry or multiple sessions. The first successful scan or redemption may invalidate later copies.
8.5.Ticket transfer or name change is permitted only where the Organiser or Platform enables it. Commercial resale, scalping, duplication, alteration, or sale of counterfeit Tickets is prohibited.

9. Event Rules and admission

9.1.Organisers set Event-specific conduct and entry rules. You must comply with the Event listing, venue instructions, Organiser directions, safety requirements, and lawful instructions from Event staff.
9.2.The Organiser may require a valid Ticket, matching identification, proof of age, guardian presence, wristband, security screening, prohibited-item check, or compliance with dress, timing, seating, recording, or re-entry rules.
9.3.Admission may be refused or an Attendee may be removed for an invalid or duplicated Ticket, failure to meet age or identification requirements, intoxication, possession of prohibited items, threatening or abusive behaviour, unsafe conduct, disruption, harassment, unlawful activity, or material breach of Event Rules.
9.4.A refund is not available where admission is refused or an Attendee is removed because of the Attendee's breach of disclosed Event Rules or applicable law.

10. Event cancellation, postponement, and changes

10.1.Refund eligibility is limited to Event cancellation or postponement, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
10.2.Spotlyte processes eligible refunds in accordance with the Refund, Cancellation & Postponement Policy. The Organiser must notify Spotlyte of a cancellation or postponement and cooperate with attendee communication.
10.3.For a postponed Event, your Ticket may remain valid for the rescheduled date. You may request a refund only within the deadline and method stated in the postponement notice.
10.4.A change in artist, speaker, programme, schedule, venue within the same city or region, seating configuration, supporting act, access route, or other Event detail does not automatically create refund eligibility unless Spotlyte or the Organiser expressly treats the Event as cancelled or postponed, or applicable law requires a refund.
10.5.Personal inability to attend, travel disruption, illness, late arrival, weather affecting travel, mistaken booking, change of mind, or failure to satisfy Event Rules does not create refund eligibility.

11. User conduct and prohibited use

11.1.You must use the Platform and attend Events lawfully, honestly, and without harming other users, Organisers, venues, staff, performers, or Spotlyte.
11.2.You must not use bots, scripts, scraping, automated checkout, credential stuffing, malicious code, denial-of-service activity, unauthorised access, payment fraud, chargeback abuse, fake identities, or other means to interfere with the Platform or obtain Tickets unfairly.
11.3.You must not upload, send, or publish unlawful, abusive, threatening, hateful, discriminatory, defamatory, infringing, deceptive, or spam content through any feature made available by Spotlyte.
11.4.Spotlyte may preserve and disclose relevant records where reasonably necessary for fraud prevention, safety, dispute resolution, legal compliance, or a lawful authority request.

12. Communication

12.1.You agree to receive service communications relating to account security, bookings, payment status, Tickets, Event updates, check-in, cancellations, postponements, refunds, support, and policy changes through email, SMS, WhatsApp, in-app messages, or other contact details you provide.
12.2.Service communications are necessary to administer your booking and may continue even if you opt out of optional marketing.
12.3.Promotional communications will be sent only where permitted by applicable law and the choices presented to you. You may use the unsubscribe or opt-out method provided.

13. Intellectual property

13.1.The Platform, software, design, brand, databases, text, and other Spotlyte materials are owned by or licensed to Spotlyte and are protected by applicable intellectual property law.
13.2.Event names, artist materials, logos, images, videos, and Organiser content may be owned by the Organiser or third parties. A Ticket does not grant you any licence to reproduce, broadcast, commercially exploit, or misuse that content.
13.3.You may use the Platform only for personal, lawful booking and attendance purposes. You may not copy, reverse engineer, resell, frame, mirror, or commercially exploit the Platform except with written permission.

14. Third-party services and links

14.1.The Platform may rely on payment gateways, messaging services, maps, identity or fraud tools, analytics, cloud hosting, and links to Organiser or venue services. Those third parties may have their own terms and privacy notices.
14.2.Spotlyte is not responsible for an independent third-party website, app, content, product, transport service, accommodation, or other service merely because it is linked from the Platform.

15. Platform availability and changes

15.1.Spotlyte may update, maintain, suspend, or change Platform features. Temporary interruption may occur because of maintenance, internet failure, payment provider issues, security incidents, or events beyond reasonable control.
15.2.Where a digital Ticket cannot be displayed because of a temporary technical problem, you should contact Event staff or Spotlyte support and provide the booking reference and identity details requested for verification.

16. Responsibility and limitation of liability

16.1.The Organiser is responsible for Event delivery, venue operations, performers, staff, security, safety arrangements, accessibility, Event Rules, and lawful admission decisions.
16.2.To the maximum extent permitted by law, Spotlyte is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss arising from an Event or from matters controlled by the Organiser, venue, bank, payment provider, telecom provider, or another third party.
16.3.Where Spotlyte is legally liable in connection with a booking, its aggregate liability will not exceed the amount paid to Spotlyte for the affected Order, except where liability cannot lawfully be limited, including liability arising from fraud, wilful misconduct, or mandatory consumer rights.
16.4.Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits any right or remedy that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

17. Complaints and disputes

17.1.For booking, Ticket, payment, or refund support, contact support@spotlyte.app with the Event name, Order or Ticket reference, registered phone or email, and supporting evidence.
17.2.For a grievance or unresolved complaint, contact complaints@spotlyte.app. Spotlyte may obtain information from the Organiser, payment provider, venue, or account records before responding.
17.3.These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to mandatory consumer rights and any forum that applicable law permits, courts at Nagercoil, Tamil Nadu will have jurisdiction.

18. Suspension, termination, and survival

18.1.You may stop using the Platform at any time. Account deletion or closure does not cancel an existing booking or remove payment, Event, refund, dispute, fraud-prevention, or legal obligations.
18.2.Spotlyte may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary for security, fraud prevention, legal compliance, safety, non-payment, misuse, or breach of these Terms.
18.3.Provisions concerning payments, Tickets, refunds, intellectual property, liability, disputes, and data retention survive to the extent needed after account closure.

19. Changes to these Terms

19.1.Spotlyte may update these Terms to reflect changes in law, Platform features, payment providers, safety requirements, or business operations. The updated version will state its effective date.
19.2.Material changes will be notified through the Platform, registered email, or another reasonable method. Changes will not retroactively reduce a refund right already confirmed for an existing cancelled or postponed Event.
